Frequently asked questions

Does pick up and drop off time affect the walk?

No — I make sure your dog receives their full allocated walk time. Pick up and drop off is organised around this, so their walk is never shortened and remains focused on calm, structured exercise and enrichment.

What do you bring on walks?

I carry essentials including water, waste bags, emergency contact details and a canine first aid kit. Dogs are also fitted with safety ID tags during walks.

Can you walk anxious or nervous dogs?

Yes — I have experience working with anxious dogs and focus on calm, structured walks to help build confidence at their own pace.

What happens on the first booking?

I offer a meet and greet first, so I can get to know you and your dog, understand their routine, and make sure they feel comfortable with me.

What happens in bad weather?

Walks will still go ahead in most weather conditions, with routes adjusted where needed to keep dogs safe and comfortable. In extreme weather, I will always prioritise your dog’s wellbeing and discuss alternatives with you.

Do you walk dogs in hot weather?

Your dog’s safety comes first, so during hot weather walks are adjusted to cooler times of the day, shorter durations, or shaded routes. If it’s too hot, I may recommend a shorter walk or a home visit instead.

Will I get updates?

Yes, I always send updates, photos, or videos so you can see how your dog is getting on.

What if my dog has specific needs?

Every dog is different, so I tailor walks to suit their energy levels, age, and any specific requirements.

Do you walk dogs in groups or individually?

I offer both, depending on your dog’s needs and personality. I carefully match dogs for group walks to ensure a calm and positive experience.

Are dogs kept on lead or off lead?

This depends on your dog, their recall, and your preferences. Safety always comes first, and I’ll only allow off-lead time where it’s appropriate and agreed with you.

Do I need to be home when you walk my dog?

Not at all. I can arrange secure access to collect and return your dog, so everything runs smoothly even if you’re out. Your home will always be left safe and secure.

How far in advance should I book?

I’d recommend booking as early as possible to secure your preferred days and times, especially for regular slots. I’ll always do my best to fit in last-minute requests where I can.

Still have questions?

If you’d like to discuss your dog’s needs or see if we’re the right fit, feel free to get in touch. I’m always happy to chat through routines, behaviour or enrichment support.

"Jasmine is fantastic with my dog Karou. I’d never had a dog walker before but needed someone to take her out when we are both working so she’s not bored during the day. I get the most amazing photos and videos of their walks and Karou gets very excited when I tell her Jasmine is coming! Jasmine is trustworthy and patient and I’m pleased to have her care for my dog."

"Highly recommend 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
We have recently used Jasmine for dog walks over several days. I had just found her business on social media and read a few reviews as our previous dog walker moved to the mainland . I am really pleased! She has been professional and really put my mind at ease trusting her with our rescue retriever. I absolutely loved the updates of pictures and hearing about their different walks. We will be using her again for sure. Many thanks!"
